The Tenant Portal

Every Widrow business gets a Tenant Portal — the control room for its tenancy. The website is where your Digital Employees work; the portal is where your business governs them: what they may know, what they may do, on whose authority, and at what cost. If Widrow puts the people who run the business in control, the Tenant Portal is where that control lives.

Who holds the keys

Tenant Admins are invited by your Partner — the owner, a manager, or nominated staff members. There is no self-serve door: nobody becomes a Tenant Admin unless your Partner creates them.

Sign-in carries two-factor authentication, and your Partner always retains access to the portal. Only three parties can ever see it: your Tenant Admins, your Partner, and the platform.

What’s managed from the portal

  • Overview — the health of your tenancy at a glance: plugin connected and its version, the last configuration publish, the last knowledge sync, the last customer-conversation digest — and a readiness checklist that tells you exactly what’s left before everything runs.
  • Workforce — your Employees (configure and publish them), your Roles (which people, which tools, which knowledge vaults each role is granted), and your Integrations (the business systems they may reach).
  • Schedules — the recurring work: the customer Chat Triage digest, your Content Creator’s publishing runs, the Knowledge Gaps digest (“what should we document next?”), and where those reports are delivered.
  • Marketing — Market Research briefs and Outreach — the work that feeds Market Memory.
  • Knowledge — the digital brain’s Company Knowledge lobe: connect Sources, organise Vaults, and see every document your Digital Employees can retrieve.
  • Settings — your own AI provider keys, the website connection, usage metering, billing, per-person assistant budgets, Privacy Requests (export or erase a person’s data), and Config History: every configuration change versioned, with rollback.

Your Partner sets it up. Tess takes it from there.

Your Partner does the initial setup to your instructions — sources connected, vaults and roles arranged, employees configured — and onboards your Tenant Admins.

From then on, Tess is a Tenant Admin’s first port of reference. Every page of the portal carries Ask Tess about this page — she knows what you’re looking at and how it works, so working in the portal never means hunting through documentation. A few deeper controls stay with your Partner deliberately.

Choose your Tenant Admins carefully

The Tenant Portal is where AI governance is managed from, so Tenant Admins must be trusted members of the business.

The portal is where tools, knowledge access and autonomy are granted — and an admin who doesn’t understand what they’re granting could hand a Digital Employee enough tools and access to become effectively autonomous. That can be very dangerous for a business.

Widrow’s defaults resist it — nothing is available until granted, and actions that delete or cancel something pause for a person’s confirmation — but the defaults are only as good as the people holding the keys. When in doubt: ask Tess, or ask your Partner.

How the controls themselves work is the governance story — read How Widrow Works — and Who Controls the AI. What the knowledge is and how it’s organised is The Digital Brain.

Widrow is delivered by a Widrow Approved Partner. Why that matters, and what your Partner does.
