Every release of the Digital Employees plugin carries a dated entry in plain words. This is the plugin’s own changelog, newest first, as it ships on this site.
8.7.14 — October 13, 2026
- Fix – Staff AI: if the connection drops while the assistant is working, the console reconnects by itself and the reply carries on; while the assistant works, the line under the reply says what it is doing and for how long.
8.7.13 — October 13, 2026
- Fix – Customer Chat: when a file upload is paused by the workspace's billing state, the chat shows the platform's own message instead of 'Upload could not start. Please try again.'
8.7.12 — October 13, 2026
- Fix – Chat Settings: the Greeting Text and Welcome State help no longer state character limits (200 for the greeting, 80 for a chip label, 1000 for a chip introduction). Those limits were removed in 5.7.11; these fields accept any length.
8.7.11 — October 13, 2026
- (note: 8.7.10 skipped — PHP version_compare bug treats "10" as "1")
- Fix – Staff AI and the Setup Assistant now say "Searching the documentation…" while the assistant checks the platform documentation, instead of an internal tool name (Staff AI) or "Processing…" (Setup Assistant).
8.7.9 — October 10, 2026
- Tweak – The Setup Assistant's "ask a person" form now sends you a copy of your request for your records ("Copy: <subject>"), to your own account email.
8.7.8 — October 8, 2026
- New – When Staff AI is about to make a change in a connected app, it shows the exact change and asks you to confirm or cancel it with one click.
8.7.7 — October 8, 2026
- Fix – The scheduled task form now says what a scheduled run can do: it runs on your own login with your connected accounts and documents, and describes rather than performs anything that would send, post or change something.
8.7.6 — October 7, 2026
- Fix – Staff AI left open for a long time (the installed app overnight) no longer fails the next message with "Cookie check failed": it fetches a fresh security token from WordPress and sends the message again. If you have been signed out, it says your session has expired with a Reload link, and your message stays in the box.
8.7.5 — October 7, 2026
- Tweak – Connected accounts: a connected Google Ads or Google Analytics row now says which account it is when Google provides it – for Google Ads the account's name and Customer ID, for Google Analytics the email you signed in with. The Customer ID line under Google Ads is rewritten: the ID is the number beside each account on Google's "Select a Google Ads account" screen, or top right inside an account; a connection covers only that account; to cover several, create a manager account, link the client accounts under it, and enter its ID.
8.7.4 — October 2, 2026
- Tweak – Connected accounts: Google Ads now shows as "Google Ads" (it read "Googleads"), including in the Disconnect confirmation. Until you connect it, a line explains where to find your Customer ID if the sign-in asks, and to use your manager (MCC) account’s ID if you manage several accounts. Google Drive and Google Calendar now show their proper names too (they read "Googledrive" and "Googlecalendar").
8.7.3 — September 25, 2026
- Fix – Customer Chat for screen reader users: the conversation is no longer read out by itself when the chat opens, when an earlier conversation is brought back (on this device, or after logging in), or after New conversation – the greeting and past messages are there to read, not announced. Each new message is announced once: the visitor's own message when it is sent, the assistant's reply when it has finished arriving rather than word by word as it streams, and notices such as a connection error. Nothing changes in how the chat looks.
8.7.2 — September 24, 2026
- Fix – Scheduled tasks: a task card no longer says "Sent to" before the result has actually been sent. When a run has finished but its email is still on the way, the card reads "Delivering to" your address; once it has gone, it reads "Sent to" your address with the time it was sent, not the time the run finished.
